No access to local resources OpenVPN and Tunnelblick on OSX

I was experiencing this wierd error, where I was able to connect to my OpenVPN server, but was unable to access the resources once connected to the VPN LAN network. I was able to access the resources just fine from my android phone. Resources meaning SSH access, samba share, other web GUIs etc.

I tried connecting via Tunnelblick with the same configuration via my phone hotspot, and that worked, I was able to access VPN LAN resources. So that got me thinking, do I have a missconfiguration? Checking the difference between the configs showed no changes... So why am I unable to access via WI-FI? It turned out that both of my networks were using the same gateways/DNS IP's and looks like OSX DNS records get messed up and OS is left confused, 192.168.0.1.

Fixing my local area network gateway to a gateway of 192.10.0.1 did the trick for me, and I was again able to access VPN LAN resources. 🎉
